A new series put out by the Jordanian Ministry of Culture, Creative Sabbatical, publishes literary works by Jordanian authors who have received state sabbatical grants. This book, a novel by Jordanian author Jamal Naji, is narrated by its protagonists, to whom the author gives ample space to expound on and discuss contemporary Jordan.
