Libyan Trade Union asks Egypt to reopen Tobruk office to help Egyptian workers

The head of the Libyan Trade Union, Saad al-Sadiq, requested the Egyptian Manpower Ministry to reopen its office in Tobruk to help Egyptian workers after IS kidnapped and executed 21 Egyptians living there.

Sadiq said his country does not want Egyptian soldiers to fight IS on its territory, but needs logistical support to General Khalifa Haftar who is fighting terrorism in Libya.

He said terrorism aims to destabilize diplomatic relations between Egypt and Libya, yet the kidnapping incident only strengthened them.

Meanwhile the Lawyers Syndicate in Giza demanded the government to urgently evacuate all Egyptians living in Libya and ban Egyptians from going there.
