The Egyptian stock exchange on Thursday closed in the red for the second consecutive session as a result of profit taking with the EGX30 Index losing 0.79% to record 9,420.75 points on a total turnover of LE862million.
While, the EGX30 was up 3.3 percent this week, the market capitalization gained LE15.34 billion (US$2.1 billion) to close at LE519.54 billion compared to LE504.2 billion last Thursday.
Institutions closed on Thursday as net buyers recording a net flow of LE47.79million.
Egyptian and Arab retail investors were net sellers recording LE43.57 million and LE5.03 million.
