Earthquake of magnitude 4.77 reported far north of Egypt

The Egyptian National Seismic Network (ENSN), of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) recorded on Sunday an earthquake 520 kilometers from the city of Rosetta, far north of Egypt.

The Cairo 24 news website reported that the earthquake occurred at 03:55:58 pm local time, recording 4.77 on the Richter scale, and at a depth of 16.07 km.

The institute did not mention any evidence of the tremor being felt or any loss of life or property.
