The Manchester City club sent a message of congratulations to Al-Ahly SC of Egypt and Espérance Sportive de Tunis, after reaching the finals of the African Champions League in the 2023/2024 season.
The Manchester City club wrote through its account on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter): “Congratulations to the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club for its well-deserved qualification to the African Champions League final.”

Ahly reached the final match in the African competition for the fifth year in a row, after defeating its Congolese counterpart, Mazembe, on aggregate in the home and away matches of the semi-final by three clean goals.
ES Tunis beat its South African rival, Mamelodi Sundowns, with two clean goals on aggregate in the two matches.
