Sources have told Al-Masry Al-Youm that Mohamed Ali Bishr, the former minister of local development and leading figure of the Muslim Brotherhood, held a secret meeting at the Engineers Syndicate on Tuesday evening with the leaders of the Salafi Nour Party and the Ghad Al-Thawra Party.
According to sources, they met to devise and submit a document to the military that contains solutions for the current political crisis between the army and Islamist supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsy led by the Muslim Brotherhood.
The sources, who declined to be named, said the document suggests stopping the prosecution of Brotherhood leaders that are imprisoned and not implicated in crimes. In return, they would accept the roadmap developed by the army in July and engage in the political process.
They added that the Nour Party would ensure the implementation of the document, which also nominates three trade union heads belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood to be included in the constitutional committee of 50 representing all political and social forces.
Meanwhile, a source has revealed that the Jemaah Islamiyah submitted an initiative to Defense Minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Tuesday, and that the group is awaiting his response to begin resolving the crisis, halting the bloodshed and restoring stability.
The sources said Abboud al-Zomor, one of the founders of the group, and Essam Derbala, head of its Shura Council, are in direct contact with the army.
The sources added that the initiative was also presented to the National Alliance Supporting Legitimacy.
Jemaah Islamiyah's media advisor Mohamed Hassaan said the group put forward the principle of popular legitimacy through elections, pointing out that the group wants Morsy to return and then resign for early presidential elections held under international supervision.
