Military sources said two militants were killed on Wednesday in Sheikh Zuweid, North Sinai, when a landmine planted by security forces around their checkpoint exploded while militants were attempting to attack them.
The sources said troops combed the area and launched warning shots, adding that samples from the bodies of the dead were taken for analysis to identify them.
