Two Sinai residents were killed Tuesday after anonymous gunmen stormed Balouza Village, south of Be'r al-Abd City, North Sinai.
Eyewitnesses said a group of gunmen stormed the village and opened fire on people chaotically, leading to the deaths of Mohamed Hassan, 30, and Awad al-Gazzar, 35, from al-Ekharesa tribe.
Eyewitnesses added that residents became angry after the shooting and blocked the road, setting tires ablaze to prevent the passage of cars in both directions.
A security source said the incident was part of a dispute between two tribes, adding that the assailants escaped in the desert. The source said the police and prosecutors are holding discussions with residents to open the road and to allow investigators to enter the village.
