At least two persons were killed and another ten injured after a microbus travelling from Cairo to 6th October flipped over on 26th July corridor on Thursday morning.
The incident caused a traffic jam, completely stopping movement through the busy thoroughfare.
Traffic police arrived at the scene and cleared the debris from the road.
The deceased were transferred to the morgue and the injured to hospital to receive treatment.
A report published by the World Health Organization (WHO) in October 2016 puts Egypt in the top 10 countries globally for the number of fatal road accidents.
The report reveals that 25,500 people were killed or injured as a result of car accidents in Egypt in the past year, with financial losses amounting to about LE 30 billion.
