Cairo Airport authorities have tightened security on Wednesday, fearing angry crowds would assault the national football team upon arrival after it was defeated by Ghana 6-1 in the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
Checkpoints were placed on all roads leading to the airport, and security was raised inside the arrival hall.
