Thirty Brotherhood members in criminal court in relation to Moqattam incident

Thirty Muslim Brotherhood members and supporters were referred on Thursday to criminal trial, on charges of possessing unlicensed firearms, which they delivered to members of the group who were protecting the Brotherhood's Guidance Bureau headquarters in the Moqattam district of Cairo. The weapons were allegedly used to kill protesters in front of the building.
 
The defendants possessed  large quantities of firearms and ammunition which they kept inside two vehicles in Moqattam, according to investigations. The were arrested while the two vehicles were in their possession. It was found out that the vehicles belonged to two of the defendants.
 
According to investigation, the defendants got the arms from al-Zawya al-Hamra district in Cairo.
 
The prosecution ordered the detention of the defendents pending investigation.
