Supply Minister Khaled Hanafy said the new system for producing subsidized bread has saved LE11 billion, improved the quality and made sure it goes to those who deserve it.
During a surprise market visit in Damietta on Thursday, the minister threatened bakeries that violate the system by referring them to the prosecution immediately, closing down their shops and suspending their quota.
