Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, defense minister, is still maintaining his duties as general commander of the armed forces, after Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawy submitted the cabinet resignation earlier in the day to Interim President Adly Mansour, security source told Al-Masry Al-Youm.
“He continues his duties normally within military,” he added.
Sisi will disclose his decision whether to run in presidential elections, the source said, adding that it will probably be declared after the presidential election bill is passed.
