The Zagazig Criminal Court in Thursday sentenced 41 Muslim Brotherhood supporters from three to 10 years in prison, and acquitted nine others from charges of burning a police checkpoint at the township of Mashtoul al-Souq, Sharqiya.
The incidents followed the bloody dispersal of sit-ins demanding the reinstatement of deposed president Mohamed Morsy in Cairo last August.
