Two Policeman were killed in a drive-by shooting on Sunday while they were going to work in the city of Arish, North Sinai.
Gunmen shot policeman Saeed Abdel Meguid dead and injured his colleague Mohamed Hassan. Both were transferred to Arish military hospital, where Hassan passed away, according to an informed security source.
Investigators say gunmen were on board a private car and quickly fled the scene after shooting the policemen.
Officials have stepped up security efforts and the city is being combed in search for the suspects.
