Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb said on Monday that the deficit is LE340 billion and subsidies amount to LE159 billion in the fiscal budget of 2013-2014.
“The government tells the people all the facts,” he said. “The rich will bear the deficit and the poor will have social security.”
Mehleb also said the total wages in the new 2014-2015 budget amount to LE208 billion.
