Israeli Ambassador to Egypt Yitzhak Levanon has arrived at Cairo International Airport on Saturday waiting an Israeli military plane to fly him back to Jerusalem, few hours after a group of Egyptian protesters tried to storm one of the embassy’s office in Cairo, a security source told Al-Masry Al-Youm.
He added that Levanon’s family and embassy staff were also waiting for the evacuation flight to take them back to Israel.
Dozens of Israelis in Egypt were also arriving to the airport to leave the country, he said.
