An Iranian military adviser with the rank of general has been killed in Aleppo, Syria, the Lebanon-based al-Mayadeen television station reported on Friday.
A headline flashed on screen named the general as Hussein Hamdani. It did not say when he was killed or whether he died in Aleppo city or province.
