
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted Egypt’s commitment to the principle of strategic balance, describing it as a cornerstone of the country’s foreign policy.
This statement came during Abdelatty’s meeting Tuesday, June 10, 2025, with a group of students from leading British universities, including the London School of Economics and Political Science, the University of Oxford, King’s College London and the University of Edinburgh.
During the meeting, Abdelatty outlined the core pillars of Egypt’s foreign policy and the geopolitical challenges it faces in its regional environment.
The meeting tackled Egypt’s stance on critical issues including the situations in Gaza, Libya, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, the Red Sea region and Egypt’s water security.
The minister emphasized that Egypt’s regional initiatives aim to foster peace, stability, prosperity and development for all nations in the area.
