The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) will hold an interactive exhibition on November 21 celebrating the 101st anniversary of the discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamun.
The interactive exhibition offers visitors a unique experience in which the museum presents Tutankhamun’s fascinating story through state-of-the-art digital displays.
Visitors will learn about the grand history of ancient Egypt, and travel through time to discover the life of King Tutankhamun and the mysteries of his life.
The monumental discovery
On November 4, 1922, British archaeologist Howard Carter discovered one of the most important the history of archeology and Egyptology after 10 years of excavation – the tomb of King Tutankhamun.
Carter found four rooms engraved in the rocks, hidden under the rocks of the Valley of the Kings, containing nearly 5,000 well-preserved artifacts alongside the young Pharaoh himself.
The greatness of the discovery lies in the fact that Tutankhamun was able to hide his tomb from the eyes of thieves.
It has preserved its treasures to this day, standing witness to ancient Egyptian history.
