Host Moataz Matar sentenced to 10 years in prison

The Dokki Misdemeanor Court in North Giza sentenced fugitive media host Moataz Matar to 10 years of hard labor on Wednesday over charges of inciting to overthrow the government and state institutions in Egypt.
A claim was filed against Matar accusing him of inciting murder, circulating false news and disturbing public security and social peace, as well as inciting sectarian strife among the people, and inciting against the police and the military institution.
