Body of Egyptian salesman identified in Saudi Arabia 70 days after his disappearance

The body of an Egyptian man who disappeared 70 days ago in Saudi Arabia has been identified as that of Alaa Saleh Ali Tamman.

Tamman, who left Egypt to work as a salesman in Saudi Arabia, disappeared in Dammam city about ten weeks ago.

His body was later discovered but was only recently identified, the cause of death established as a road accident.

A funeral was held on Tuesday before the body was transfered to King Fahd Airport to be repatriated to Egypt.

Al-Masry Al-Youm's citizen journalism service Sharek (Share with us) has been following the case of Alaa Saleh Ali Tamman since his disappearance.

“Today we identified the body of Alaa Saleh Ali Tamman, an Egyptian who disappeared around 70 days ago in al-Jubail, eastern Saudi Arabia," said Mahmoud Ali Othman, an Egyptian living in Saudi Arabia, in a message to Al-Masry Al-Youm.

"It was revealed that a road accident was the cause of his death,” said Othman.

“His funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon at the Dammam Central Hospital mosque,” Othman informed Al-Masry Al-Youm, adding that the body will be taken to the airport in Dammam at 7:30 pm.
