With a giant screen and high-quality stereo sound that makes you feel you are sitting in the Metropolitan Opera house, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is broadcasting 10 major operas live from the Metropolitan Opera in New York City during the 2015-2016 season.
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is the third place in Egypt, after the Cairo Opera House and the Gouna Arena, that broadcasts the operas within a protocol signed with the Metropolitan Opera house.
The first opera to be broadcast is Verdi’s Il Trovatore on Saturday, October 3 at 7 p.m.
