Beblawy accepts Bahaa Eddin’s resignation

Prime Minister Hazem Al-Beblawy accepted the resignation of deputy prime minister for economic development and international cooperation minister Ahmed Bahaa Eddin on Thursday.

Bahaa Eddin officially submitted his resignation to Beblawy on Monday.

Bahaa Eddin denied that he is accepting an executive post at the World Bank.

“I believe my role during the coming period will be more effective through political, partisan and legal work,” he said.

Beblawy assigned Minister of Planning Ashraf Arab to the post, in addition to his current position, until a new minister is appointed.
