The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) assigned the task of managing the Germany match against Costa Rica in the third round of the 2022 World Cup to a female team of referees for the first time in the history of the World Cup tournament, beIN Sports News reported.
FIFA has appointed Stephanie Frappart as the main referee for the match, and appointed Brazilian Neuza Back and Mexican Karen Diaz both as assistant referees.
Germany-Costa Rica match is scheduled, on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 9 pm, Cairo time, in the last round of the 2022 World Cup.
The German national team is at the bottom of its group standings with one point after its 1/1 draw with Spain, and losing earlier to Japan.
