Members of the National Association for Change (NAC) are inclined to participate in the People’s Assembly election scheduled for October, said Saad el-Husseiny, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood Guidance Bureau.
El-Husseiny added that a final decision will be reached by the end of Ramadan, to give sufficient time to consideration. Regarding whether the Muslim Brotherhood will participate in the upcoming election, el-Husseiny said this matter will be decided upon by the Muslim Brotherhood’s Shura Council and Guidance Bureau.
Hassan Nafaa, coordinator for the NAC, confirms that the NAC has yet to decide on participation in the People’s Assembly election. He added that members of the NAC so far agree only that the regime should be pressured to hold a clean, transparent election. The NAC also rejects how the Shura Council election was conducted.
