Correction of high school exams almost at end

Al-Masry Al-Youm has learned that the marking of Thanaweya Amma (the last two years of high school) exam papers will be completed tomorrow, ending with chemistry exams. The results are due to be announced next week.

A number of exam graders have complained about the overly long–especially in the case of philosophy exams–correction forms they were required to use.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Council for Universities has decided to open its admissions offices to high school graduates within a minimum of 48 hours from the time that the exam results are announced. The application process will last for five days, according to the council, and consist of just one stage, as opposed to the older three-stage process.
