The Muslim Brotherhood member has taken back strongly-worded statements it make against the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.
Hassan al-Brins, in Alexandria, said at a rally last Tuesday the “the military council must leave on 27 September,” and that the Brotherhood is willing to offer a martyr if the parliamentary elections are delayed.
The group has said it will not take part in Friday’s million-man demonstration against the extending the reach of Egypt's Emergency Law.
