Presidential hopeful Amr Moussa has called on Prime Minister Essam Sharaf to meet the demands of the revolutionaries who entrusted him with ending corruption, as Sharaf had originally pledged.
“Sharaf was one of the Tahrir Square demonstrators,” Moussa went on. “Then he became prime minister in the most difficult of times.”
He also called on Sharaf to be more firm. “The revolution must reap its crop,” he said. “And punishing those who killed the demonstrators is a legitimate demand.”
Moussa criticized the government and the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces for their indecisiveness and sluggishness, which has caused the demonstrators to take to the streets again.
“Slow justice is injustice,” he said, referencing the slow trials of those accused of killing protesters during the 25 January revolution.
