
The Turkish series “Esref Rüya” (Ashraf’s Dream) has gone viral on social media after the first episode aired, captivating viewers with its engrossing writing.
The series began airing on March 19, and airs weekly every Wednesday at seven pm Cairo time on the Turkish channel Kanal D.
Directed by Uluş Bayraktar and written by Ethem Özçık and Lokman Maral, the cast includes Çagatay Ulusoy as “Eşref” and Demet Özdemir as “Nisan”, along with Necip Memili, Bushra Develi, and Tolga Tekin.
The show revolves around Esref, and his journey from being an innocent young man into one of Istanbul’s most powerful mafia leaders while searching for a mysterious girl he loved as a child.
Nisan, a young musician, meets Esref while performing at a concert at his hotel. He discovers that she is the girl he has been searching for and that she is involved in a game with the police as an undercover informant.
What follows is a struggle involving love, power, and betrayal.
