17 MB supporters arrested over violence charges

Security authorities arrested a number of alleged Muslim Brotherhood members, including 12 in Fayoum, over charges of assaulting police headquarters and inciting violence, seizing weapons and storming the governorate headquarters.
 
In Qena, MB leader and former MP Hesham al-Qady and two of his aides were arrested over charges of inciting violence and possessing MB leaflets.
 
One was arrested in Alexandria over charges of inciting protests and violence. He was reportedly in possession of nine Molotov cocktail bottles, six jars of chemicals, a metal detector, anti-police and military leaflets bearing Rabaa sign, LE50,000 and US$8,000.
 
In Minya, one was arrested over charges of burning a police officer's car on 30 January with Molotov cocktails, and threatening to kill the officer. According to investigators, he was holding the SIM card used to threaten the officer as well as banners promoting toppled President Mohamed Morsy.
