The spokesperson for the Ministry of Local Development, Khaled Qassem on Saturday revealed the working hours for shops and restaurants during Ramadan 2025.
During a telephone interview with al-Hayat satellite channel, Qassem said that the working hours of shops and restaurants during the month of Ramadan have been extended until two am, while the “take away” service for restaurants continues for 24 hours a day.
Qassem explained that this decision allows shops, restaurants and cafes to operate until 2:00 am, while vital services for citizens, such as grocery stores, supermarkets, bakeries and ovens, are excluded.
He added that the decision takes into account the hours of night activities for some shops such as fruit and vegetable shops, poultry shops, wholesale markets and pharmacies.
Qassem added that the working hours of shops during the holy month of Ramadan will be implemented starting from Saturday, March 1 until the end of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
