Manar Ghanem, Public Meteorological Authority media center member, has drawn attention to the expectation of higher-than-usual temperatures during the upcoming summer months (June, July, and August) compared to previous years.
The official also noted that starting Saturday, weather conditions will be affected by an extension of a low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere.
This will lead to a slight decrease in temperatures ranging from 2 to 3 or 4 degrees Celsius across various Egyptian governorates. The maximum temperature in Greater Cairo is expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius.
Friday weather
A significant rise in temperatures is expected on Friday due to the influence of extremely hot air masses, in addition to high humidity levels, which will make the weather even hotter.
The expected temperature in Cairo on Friday is 39 degrees Celsius, which is about 4 to 5 degrees above normal rates.
