Manar Ghanem, a member of the Meteorological Authority’s media center, stated that autumn is known for its sharp and rapid weather fluctuations, especially in the first half. During this season, weather conditions experience variations in temperature values from one day to the next or even within the same day.
She explained that during these specific days, the weather is witnessing a slight increase in temperatures compared to the normal average for this time of year by about 2 or 3 degrees.
During a phone-in interview on the “Sabah Al Balad” program broadcast on Sada El Balad channel, Ghanem added that the current weather conditions are influenced by sources of air masses, some of which are desert-based, in addition to the extension of a high-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere. This increases periods of sunshine and a lack of significant clouds, contributing to a feeling of hotter weather.
However, she noted that during nighttime hours, temperatures decrease, and we experience some mild coolness during the late night or early morning.
The member of the Meteorological Authority’s media center mentioned that these temperature increases are expected to continue until the following Monday.
Starting from Tuesday, a low-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere and low to medium clouds will lead to a return of moderate autumn weather during the day, with some chances of light rain in coastal areas.
Ghanem confirmed that Hurricane “Milton,” currently affecting the United States, will not have any impact on Egypt. Hurricanes form as a result of large bodies of water like oceans, making countries close to these bodies more susceptible to destructive and powerful hurricanes. She added that the speed and intensity of “Milton” decreased once it reached the state of Florida.
The death count from Hurricane Milton has reached 16, according to CNN, after a new death was reported on Friday in Orange County, Florida.
