Will Bassem Youssef host a show on the Shahid platform?

The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh, denied recent claims on social media that comedian Bassem Youssef will be hosting a program on Shahid platform.

Al-Sheikh said in a post on his Facebook account on Monday: “This is incorrect news and not surprising. This is just some kind of news.”

The Egyptian ON TV network previously announced on Saturday a collaboration with Youssef as a guest in a series of special episodes hosted by Ahmed Salem on his program “Kalema Akhera” (Last Word).

This series will begin on October 7, marking Youssef’s much-anticipated appearance before his Egyptian and Arab audiences after ten years in the United States.

During these episodes, Youssef will share details of his personal journey and professional development in the West, alongside behind-the-scenes stories and anecdotes about his recent extensive media presence.

The series will further delve the unique features of his career, blending satire with boldness and honesty, offering audiences an in-depth look at Youssef’s experience both inside and outside the Arab world.

According to the network, this move confirms its commitment to providing quality content that combines boldness and credibility, giving viewers a unique opportunity to follow the journey of one of the most prominent and influential Arab media voices in the world.
