Whale skeleton found on Alexandria beach

Residents of Misr lel Ta'meer village, located west of Alexandria, were surprised on Wednesday with the appearance of a 13-meter long skeleton of a whale, washed upw on the beach near the coastal road. 
 
Major General Ahmed Metwally, Chairman of the Borg al-Arab City said in a press statement that the skeleton weighs up to 5 tons.
 
Metwally added that a committee was formed by the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Authority to bury the skeleton taking into account the sanitary requirements.
