Weather temperature expected to hit 26C in Cairo next Monday

Meteorologists warn that weather temperatures will leap above normal rates during this period of the year.

Temperatures in Cairo are expected to record 26C on Monday with an expected high of 30C in southern Upper Egypt.

Meteorologists advise citizens not to be directly exposed to sunlight.

They advise against being deceived by the sudden increase that gives a sudden sense of heat.

They also warned against wearing light clothes, especially during the night hours, to avoid catching severe colds.

Meteorologists stressed that the winter season will continue until March 20, and that the increase in temperatures will only be temporary.

In another focus there will be fog which is predicted on highways, agricultural roads, near water channels and roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Suez Canal cities, central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

On Thursday, cold weather was predicted in the morning and moderate temperatures during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northern coasts.

Warmer temperatures were expected in South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

Meteorologists warned that weather at night would be cold in most parts and very cold in northern Upper Egypt and central Sinai.

Meteorologists reported a 30 percent chance of rain falling on the northern and western coasts.

Rain was also predicted over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts.

Maximum temperatures predicted on Thursday:

Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt 20C

Northern coasts 18C

South Sinai 23C

Northern Upper Egypt 21C

Southern Upper Egypt 26C
