We will continue to demonstrate until the coup is reversed, says Brotherhood supreme guide

Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie has said that the demonstrations taking place in various parts of Egypt is evidence that military rule is rejected.

He added that the mandate given to Sisi was but a license for the massacres at Rabaa al-Adaweya and al-Nahda. “The Egyptian people who tasted freedom during the 25 January 2011 revolution will not abandon it, whatever the price,” he said. “They will not accept military rule again.”

“We will remain peaceful until the coup is overturned,” he said. “Our strength is in our peacefulness.”

He also said that those who were keen on the military coup fail to see that it was not a strategy for deposing President Morsy, but rather a tactic for imposing military power, involving the army in politics, establishing a military and police dictatorship, and confiscating freedom, democracy, and human rights.
