The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts warm weather across the country’s north on Monday and hot temperatures for the south of Upper Egypt during the day.
However, very cold weather is expected across the country overnight.
Mist will affect visibility in the morning along the north coast and in Lower Egypt, Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities.
Low and medium level cloud cover is expected for the north coast, accompanied by light rains along the north coast and areas in Lower Egypt and Cairo.
Winds are anticipated to be moderate and mostly southwesterly in direction, bringing dust and sands.
Winds will be active on the Mediterranean Sea, disturbing maritime navigation.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to rough and range between 2 and 2.5 meters in height, with southwesterly surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be light and range between 1 and 1.5 meter with southeasterly surface winds.
Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows: 24C in Cairo, 22C in Alexandria, 30C in Qena, 30C in Aswan, 31C in Luxor.
