The Egyptian Metrological Authority expected warm weather to prevail the northern coasts, Lower Egypt and Cairo on Thursday. Hot weather will prevail north of Upper Egypt and hotter weather is expected in the south of Upper Egypt during daylight hours.
Cold weather is expected to dominate the country overnight.
Mist will affect visibility on the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Cairo and the canal cities while fog will appear in some parts of the country.
Low and medium-level cloud cover is expected in the country’s northern parts.
Winds are mostly northeasterly and moderate in some areas and will be active on the Gulf of Suez, disturbing the maritime navigation.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate and range between 1 to 1.5 meters high while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and range between 2 to 2.5 meters high with northwesterly surface winds.
Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows: 24C in Cairo, 23C in Alexandria, 32C in Qena, 34C in Luxor, and 34C in Aswan.
