The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects Monday’s weather to be moderately warm during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and northern Upper Egypt, warm in southern Sinai and southern Upper Egypt, while moderate weather will prevail on the northern coasts.
Unusually for the Coptic month of Touba, Egypt will see temperatures rise by up to two degrees celsius, with less rainfall than typical for the time.
The weather at night will be very cold for most of the country, with frost likely to form on crops in central Sinai.
Weather maps predict dense fog in the morning on some agricultural and express roads, as well as those close to water bodies.
There will also be intermittently active wind activity far west of the country, especially in open areas.
Expected temperatures on Monday:
- Alexandria: 22C
- Cairo: 23C
- Hurghada: 24C
- Sharm el-Sheikh: 25C
- Luxor: 26C
- Aswan: 27C
