Warm autumn weather across Egypt for Monday

The General Authority of Meteorology has revealed the expected weather conditions across Egypt for Monday.

General conditions

Weather conditions for Monday will follow the typical autumnal pattern, beginning with temperatures tending to be cool in the early morning.
During the daytime, temperatures will be tending to be hot across most regions, with conditions becoming specifically hot in Southern Upper Egypt and Southern Sinai.
Temperatures will be moderate at the beginning of the night, becoming cooler late at night.
Specifically, the forecast for Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt indicates a high of 28C and a low of 21C.

Visibility and cloud cover

Mists and fog are expected from four am to nine am on some roads leading to and from the Northern Coasts, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and Northern Upper Egypt.

The mist may be dense at times on certain roads.

Some low-lying clouds are expected to appear over parts of Northern Egypt, extending to Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, and Central Sinai.

Autumn ‘a time of rapid weather changes’

The authority noted in a previous post that the Autumn season is a time of sharp and rapid changes, serving as a transitional period from the hot and humid summer to cold and rainy winter.

Autumn is sometimes interspersed with heat waves and rainy spells at other moments, it added.

This was evident on Sunday and today: yesterday saw rainy conditions accompanied by dense cloud cover, with lightning and thunder in some areas, while Monday sees hot weather in the north and extremely hot conditions in Southern Upper Egypt, with clear skies.
