
Israeli warplanes launched four raids on military sites on the southern outskirts of the Syrian capital, Damascus, early Wednesday morning, while Israel’s penetrated the administrative borders between the Daraa and Quneitra governorates.
A Syrian security source confirmed that Israeli fighter jets targeted southern Damascus, without providing further details, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that at least two raids targeted military sites in southern Damascus.
Explosions were heard from the bombing which targeted military sites around the city of al-Kiswah in Damascus, in addition to areas in the Daraa countryside, according to local sources.
Israeli media confirmed that the air force targeted “areas in Syria.”
Israel’s Channel 14 reported that the Israeli army carried out raids on military bases belonging to the former Syrian army and destroyed combat equipment in Damascus.
