The ‘TRAVIS SCOTT FAN PAGE’ account posted the video via Twitter, with the caption: “THREW A PARTY AT THE PYRAMIDS.”
Scott appeared standing in the middle of a crowd, some wearing T-shirts and others not, with everyone dancing and singing to the rapper’s most famous songs.
The video prompted the page’s followers to question the reason for Scott’s presence in Egypt, despite the decision to cancel his concert which was announced by the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate, in a move that was met with both praise and criticism.
The union explained the reasons behind halting Scott’s concert, which was scheduled for last Friday in front of the pyramids in Giza, after the organizing company officially announced the cancellation.
The official spokesperson for the syndicate Mohamed Abdullah, said in a press release that: “The decision of the union to cancel Travis Scott’s concert is a right to the syndicate because it is responsible for this matter.”
“The union is strong, and we feared for our fans that any error might occur at the concert. The union must stand by the Egyptian people and the audience of the ceremony and the union must express its opinion with all courage.”
