Video: Following prostate cancer announcement, Netanyahu sends video message

Doctors have announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been diagnosed with third-stage prostate cancer, and underwent surgery on Sunday due to an enlarged prostate gland.

Channel 12 reported: “Officially, it has been announced that Netanyahu, 75, has prostate cancer.”

The head of the Israeli Prime Minister’s medical team announced that Netanyahu had been diagnosed with stage three prostate cancer.

Prime Minister Netanyahu posted a video before heading to undergo surgery.

Netanyahu was seen walking before undergoing urological surgery at Hadassah Hospital using the HoLEP technique, which relies on laser prostatectomy without making an abdominal incision.

Earlier on Saturday evening, Netanyahu’s office revealed that he was going to undergo surgery on Sunday for an enlarged prostate.

The statement added: “Prime Minister Netanyahu underwent an examination at Hadassah Hospital on Wednesday, where a urinary tract infection resulting from a benign enlargement of the prostate was discovered.”
