Video: Dozens of Iranian missiles strike key military targets in Israel

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it had begun to strike important military targets with dozens of missiles in the occupied territories.

It indicated in a statement that the operation was carried out based on a decision by the Supreme National Security Council and the support of the army, according to what was reported by international media.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard warned that any Israeli military response to this operation will be met with more destructive and stronger attacks.

It stated that the operation comes after a period of commitment to self-restraint after the assassination of the chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau Mujahid Ismail Haniyeh.

The Revolutionary Guard announced in the statement that it targeted the depth of the occupied territories in response to the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, Hassan Nasrallah, and the commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Abbas Nilforoushan.

In light of the launch of the Iranian missile attack on Israel, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that air traffic had stopped at Israeli airports.

According to the newspaper, the Iranian attack targeted the “Hatzeri” and “Nabatim” airports, as well as the “Galil” base, noting that the missile strike caused damage to a building in northern Tel Aviv.

Earlier, the army said that the United States informed them of an airstrike close to Iran, while the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the occupation army carried out an attack in Beirut, against the backdrop of reports of preparations for a missile attack from Iran.

In addition, a senior Israeli official told the American website “Axios” that there are expectations of an Iranian attack against Israel in the coming hours.

He pointed out that Benjamin Netanyahu, the head of the occupation government, held security consultations regarding the expected Iranian attack, commenting that the warning of the expected Iranian attack reached Israel around noon.

For its part, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that 3 additional squadrons of aircraft – (F-15E), (F-16), and (A-10) – are arriving in the region, where one squadron has already arrived.

In the early hours of Tuesday, Israel launched a ground operation against southern Lebanon, days after the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Beirut, in a series of Israeli raids on the party’s central headquarters.
