The Egyptian Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) on Friday shared a video showcasing an advanced rocket launcher manufactured entirely in Egypt.
The “Raad 200” rocket launcher displayed in the video is able to carry 30 rockets and overcome rough roads.
An engineer in the research and design sector at Military Factory 200, Atef al-Azab Tawfiq, said that the launcher is designed and manufactured entirely in Egypt, and weighs 18.5 tons, at 6.5 meters long, 2.8 meters wide.
Local media reports also revealed details on the latest armored personnel carrier produced by the Egyptian army.
The IDSC published a video from inside the armored vehicles production and repair plant showcasing the “Sinai 200” armored vehicle, the latest armored personnel carrier produced in Egypt.
Tawfiq said that the vehicle is for transporting soldiers and is multi-purpose, weighs 14 tons, is 3 meters wide, 6 meters long and 1.88 meters high.
He explained that the vehicle operates at a range of 600 kilometers on paved and unpaved roads, and is equipped with protection for individuals from the side and roof from machine gun bullets, and is immune to rocket-powered grenades.
