A car crash on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road highway killed 32 people and left 60 others injured on Saturday.
Poor weather and the spread of mist in the morning caused the horrific accident in the Nubariya area in Beheira Governorate, as cars piled up and fires spread on the scene.
At least seven vehicles including buses and private cars overturned, and the fires are still ongoing.
The accident occurred in front of the entrance to al-Shagaa village.
The bodies of the victims were transported to al-Nubariya, and Wadi al-Natroun Specialized Hospitals in Beheira Governorate.
Traffic on the road came to complete halt due to the accident, as cars piled-up at the fire site.
The Ministry of Health and Population announced the dispatch of 20 ambulances to help those injured in the gruesome accident.
