Very hot weather throughout Egypt for Wednesday

Meteorologists predict very hot weather on Wednesday throughout Egypt, with active winds on Cairo and Lower Egypt.

By night the weather will grow moderate on Cairo, Lower Egypt and northern coasts, mild on the northern coasts with moderately hot weather for Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 37C in Alexandria, 43C in Cairo, and 44C in Qena, Luxor and Aswan.

Light-to-medium and sometimes thunderous rainfall is expected on Upper Egypt, the Red Sea Mountains and South Sinai (approximately 50 percent) on intermittent periods of the day.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height, with northeastern to southeastern surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between one and 1.5 meters in height with southeastern to northwestern surface winds.

A low-pressure air mass extended from Sudan is increasing temperatures nationwide, according to meteorologists.
