Very hot weather, dust storm across Egypt on Monday

Meteorologists predict very hot weather across Egypt on Monday during the daytime, with milder weather at nightfall for the northern coasts at night and moderate temperatures for the rest of the country.

 

Maximum temperatures:

Sharm el-Sheikh: 37C

Alexandria, Hurghada: 38C

Cairo, Qena, Luxor and Aswan: 42C

 

Active winds will blow up sand and dust over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and Upper Egypt, with possible storms in the western parts.

There is a 30 percent chance for light to medium rainfall in some areas of southern Upper Egypt, Red Sea mountains, and far west of the country.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and three meters in height with southeastern to northwestern surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between one and 1.75 meters in height with southeastern to northeastern surface winds.
